Brenda Darlene Ritz, 60, of Warren, entered peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:44 p.m. at Community Skilled Healthcare Center in Warren following a life long battel with diabetes with her loving family at her side.
She will be remembered as a generous and selfless caring person, often sacrificing and neglecting her own needs to care for the well being of others.
Darlene, the daughter of Donald K. and Patricia A. McKibben Roberts, was born January 4, 1961 in Zanesville, Ohio.
She graduated from Elmhurst High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She retired from Trumbull Mahoning Medical Group.
Having moved to Warren from Tucson, Arizona in 1988, she married her husband Theodore “Ted” Ritz on December 17, 1994 who survives. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Patricia of Tucson; her brother Byron (Maria) Roberts; nephews Christopher (Hannah), Daniel (Denise); and great nephew Matthew all of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by her in-laws and their families Ron (Nancy) Ritz, Jim (Nancy Sanders) Ritz; and Sandra Ritz; nephew Josh Kistler of Warren; and extended family members including Susan and Louis Miller.
She was preceded in death by her father Donald Roberts.
Darlene most enjoyed her time with family and friends, her beloved cats, Peanut, Missy, Blackie and Bella. She loved to spend time gardening, growing different flowers, and cooking. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank all the many doctors and nurses at University Hospital, Mercy Health St. Elizabeth and St. Joseph Warren Hospital for all of their dedication and care these past four months. A special thank you to Father Frantisek Katrinak for his prayers and support.
