Barbara A. Dykes

Barbara A. Dykes, 74, of Brookfield, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 28, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She was born November 9, 1944 in Eustis, Fla., the daughter of Roy and Burtie (Saul) Dykes, and had lived in both Florida and Ohio over the past many years.

Barbara had worked at Packard Electric while in Ohio, and at taking care of disabled people in Florida.  Barbara had a gift for helping people, never turning anyone down, taking in family members throughout her life and working at a boys’ home.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers, and reading the Bible.

She is sadly missed by her two sons, Craig Westbay (Charyl) of Georgia, Vermont and William “Keith” Westbay (Amanda) of Vienna; a daughter-in-law, Christin; six grandchildren: Catlyn Westbay, Cody Westbay, Curt Westbay, Landon Westbay (Megan), Justin Westbay, and Coy Westbay; a great-granddaughter, Aimee Westbay; a great-niece, Zayna Shaffer; a sister, Deborah Shockley of Oklahoma; and a brother, Russell Dykes of Champion.

Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Lance Westbay; a grandson, Derek Westbay; and a sister, Delores Clipse.

Services are 11:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Sager Cemetery in Bristolville.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral  home.
