Warren - Anne Borsich Felgar Brooks McDonald went to be with her Lord on April 30, 2023, at the age of 99 years, 10 months, and 9 days. Anne was born on June 21, 1923, in Astabula, Ohio. She and her parents, Rade and Sophie Borsich, and her older sister, Mary moved to Niles, Ohio when she was seven.
Anne graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1940. She worked many different jobs including making light bulbs at General Electric during World War II, Wilder Manufacturing, the Griffith Insurance Agency, and Packard Electric until her retirement in 1994.
Anne was married three times (Donald Felgar divorced 1952, Lee Brooks died 1984, and David McDonald died 2002).
Until a month before her death Anne lived an active and independent life. She loved to mow her lawn, attend church, going to Bible Study, caring for her cat, Sweetie, and talking about her trip to Israel where she walked on the same stones as her Lord and Savior. Although her mobility was limited in the last two years, her fierce independence was not. She continued to be her own person, directing her own life, and living on her own until a fall required her to accept more care.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Carol (Mike) Nustad, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Kathy (Frank) Natoli, Shelby Twp., MI, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as a niece and nephew. She will be missed by her friends, Diane and Tom, who have become family, and by her friends at North Mar Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Mazza who died on Anne’s 40th birthday, a granddaughter Rebecca, and her husbands. Anne requested no service or memorial be held. Anne was buried next to her husband David McDonald in Niles, Ohio on May 3, 2023.
Caring and Professional arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road, NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated To Serving Your Loved Ones. This obituary may be viewed, and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
