Anna M. Provitt, 78, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 16, 2018 at home. She was born June 16, 1940 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of James and Ida (Lacy) Ivy, and had lived most of her life in Ohio.
A 1958 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Anna retired from Packard Electric after 30 years of employment. She was a member of Word of God Fellowship in Canfield and Stonecroft Ministries, and attended services at Ohev Tsedek-Shaarei Torah synagogue in Boardman. She was an evangelist who conducted services at The Manor at Autumn Hills, and enjoyed Bile study and ministry.
Fond memories of Anna live on with her two children, David (Maricel) Provitt, Jr. of Warren and Angela Provitt of Columbus; four grandchildren: Monique Provitt, Andrea Provitt, Howard Flanagan, and Elias Provitt; one great-granddaughter, Aariona Reed; two nephews whom she raised, Anthony and Christopher Burke; four sisters: Martha Ivy of Warren, Emily Burke of Youngstown, Eleanor Ivy of Brookfield, and Carol Brightwell of Niles; two brothers, Herschel (Joyce) of North Carolina and Stanhouse (Noi) Ivy of Houston; and her ex-husband, David Provitt, Sr. of Niles.
Preceding her in death are her parents; two sisters, Marietta Grant and Florence Parker; two brothers, Peter and Lewis Ivy; and one half-brother, James Ivy.
Services are 3:00 pm Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, September 29 at the funeral home.
