WARREN – Anita Dennison, age 67, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Community Skilled Health Care Centre. She was born December 19, 1953 in Warren, the daughter of Jessie and Anniest E. (Williams) Kirksey.
A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Anita had worked as a manager in a group home while living in Connecticut. She had also worked in the clothing section of department stores. A member of Monument of Faith C.O.G.I.C., she loved to travel, especially on cruises, and also enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching television.
Precious memories of Anita live on with her beloved husband of eleven years, Samuel L. Dennison, whom she married December 22, 2009; four children: Pershel Kirksey of Warren, David Kirksey of Warren, Channel Skinner of Youngstown, and Lav’ez Powell of Warren; four grandchildren: Antone Perry, Addison Perry, Jeremiah Crunkleton, and Asa Skinner; two brothers, Jessie Kirksey (Annie) of Dunn, N.C. and Kim Kirksey (Gwen) of Raleigh, N.C.; five sisters: Jacqueline Moore (Albert) of Warren, Gwynne Little (Michael) of Warren, Frenchie Boggs (Tommy) of Lordstown, Priscilla Reed (Tyrone) of Fairlawn, and Bertha Kirksey of Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families who remember her fondly.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Jessie and Anniest Kirksey; one brother, Dwan Kirksey; one sister, Annette McCord; and one grandson, Aaron Kirksey.
Services are 11:00 am Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Community Family Outreach Center on the campus of Monument of Faith C.O.G.I.C., 2165 Highland Ave. S.W., Warren. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday at the Outreach Center.
The family will receive friends at 2210 Jackson St. S.W., Warren, and also at 1151 Bane St. S.W., Warren, the home of her son.
