It is with great sadness that we announce that our sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, Angeline Potts, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9th, 2022, with her only living sibling, Joseph Potts (the baby) and her two care-giving nieces: ‘Dr.’ Susan and Carole. Angie, Aunt Penna, Angeline, is profoundly missed. Angie is now joyfully reunited with her parents: Dominick and Angeline, an infant sister, as well as brothers: Anthony and Dominic and sisters: Theresa, Mary, Rose, Phyllis and Susan along with their spouses. She will be deeply missed by her youngest brother, Joseph (Joe) and 3 generations of nieces and nephews with whom she held deepest in her heart and prayers throughout the years. Angeline graduated from Warren G. Harding High School. She then went on to work for Packard Electric Traffic Department for, “about 5 years or so” …Low and behold, she tirelessly worked for Packard for over 40 years until her retirement. (A long 5 years!) Not long after her retirement, she fulfilled many a tax season while working for H & R Block, as being productive and using her keen sense of numbers came easily for her. Angie enjoyed people! She was always ‘the life of the party’ drawing people near her with her quick wit and sense of humor! She loved staying active with colleagues and friends as well as her church family, too! Angie enjoyed and formed close friendships with her Cardio Rehab Group from St. Joe’s Hospital for the last 8 years, ever since her open-heart surgery in 2014. She bowled for a bowling league for years, volunteered for the Italian Festival, (Warren) for years and enjoyed her church card parties with her fellow Altar and Rosary Society ladies of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (the former St. James) church. Angie embraced her Italian Heritage instilled in her by her father and hard-working mother with whom she lived until her dear widowed mother’s passing in 1979. Angie loved the food and dessert delights the Italian cuisine had to offer. As Angie’s health required trips to the Cleveland Clinic, she enjoyed the off-set of those appointments by visiting Little Italy in Cleveland with her niece Susan. In particular, Angie loved Momma Santa’s, a good hot Italian sausage sandwich, and the delicious Old World treats at the Presti Bakery, before heading to Costco or to Amish Country to shop for the rest of the day. Angie treasured her time spent on these jaunts and always reminded her niece, Susan, how grateful she was to her for her drives to Cleveland, being her medical advocate, and making the most fun out of the day during those appointment times. Angie treasured time spent with those close to her. Hearing about their lives and their successes and woes kept her heart full and she was a continued prayer warrior for all her family. Lastly, Angie was no stranger to a hearty breakfast at her favorite Yankee Kitchen followed by a day at the casino! Angie led the life of a faithful servant and will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery where her parents, sister Susan and Susan’s husband Raymond were also laid to rest. Angeline Potts will be honored with calling hours from 6-8 pm at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2022 and a full funeral mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her home parish: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Blessed Sacrament Parishes St James, 2532 Burton SE, Warren. Her wishes fulfilled. Respectfully submitted by great-niece and goddaughter. ‘Rose Ellen’ special notice.
