“Heaven Gained an Angel”

In Loving Memory of Aisha Renee (Owens) Austin

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Aisha Renee (Owens) Austin, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who departed from this world far too soon Sunday, October 22, 2023. Aisha left behind a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to know and love her.

Born on December 31, 1977, Aisha grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She attended and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1996 where she forged lifelong friendships and created cherished memories. After high school, she pursued her dreams, studying Human Resources Management while attending Western Governors University. During her years as secretary at Valley Christian School, she enjoyed helping and rearing students to achieve their full potential. Aisha shone brightly, demonstrating a strong work ethic, dedication, and a natural talent for understanding and helping people. This achievement reflected her determination, commitment, and passion for personal growth and her colleagues admired her for her skills and compassionate nature.

In addition to her family and career, Aisha had a passion for community service and was actively involved in various charitable organizations, namely her church, Community Church of God in Christ in Warren, Ohio. There she exemplified unwavering faith battling through perilous times while remaining steadfast and committed, demonstrating her commitment to inspiring those around her.

Aisha’s radiant smile, unwavering generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many. Her laughter was infectious, and her love was boundless. She had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel valued and comforted. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 22 years, Kwane Lonyell Austin, Sr., a doting mother to her cherished children – Amari Shari Austin (daughter) and Kwane Lonyell Austin, Jr. (son), and a pillar of strength to her siblings and extended family.  Along with her husband and children, she is survived by her fathers – Sheldon Walker, Sr. and Mark Owens; brothers – Sheldon Walker, Jr. (Chastity), Thaddeus Walker (Shannon), and Antonio O. Dorsey; sisters – Ajjiaree Walker-Phillips (Richard), Sheoni Walker, and Rosaleah Williamson; her niece, A’Lani Iris Dorsey, affectionately called her “granddaughter” and a host of relatives and friends who will always cherish the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind.
