Thelma M. Ferrel, 90, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 3, 2018 at University Hospitals-Portage in Ravenna.  She was born February 15, 1928 in Rockwood, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Mossholder) Baker, and had lived in the area most of her life.

A homemaker, Thelma attended Pleasant Valley Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher.  She enjoyed sewing, crochet, and crafts.  During World War II, she worked at a war plant in Baltimore as a "Rosie the Riveter," working on the airplanes.  After her husband's passing, she worked at JoAnn Fabrics for twenty years.

Fond memories of Thelma live on with her two daughters, Diana Bosser of Burton and Wendy Gilmore of Warren; four grandchildren: Kenny and Alyssa Rose, Melynda (Cory) Hale, and Nichole (Jeff) Austin; two great-granddaughters, Kennedy Austin and Lillian Hale; two sisters, Dolly Bungard of Lorain and Mary Ream of Niles and Hawaii; and two brothers, Dale of Lorain and Donny Baker of Somerset, Pa.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband, Robert L. Ferrel, whom she married in 1947 and who died November, 1987; two children: Dwight Ferrel and Robin Tenney; a grandson, Jason Bosser; and seven brothers and sisters.

Per her request, services are private.  Cremation is taking place.
