Sylvia G. Domhoff, 80, of Cortland, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 3, 2018 at home. She was born May 21, 1938 in New Brighton, Pa., the daughter of Harry and Ethel (Reibold) Rader, and had lived in Ohio since 1966.
A graduate of New Brighton High School, Sylvia was a member of the North-Mar Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. She worked as a bus driver for Howland Schools and had also worked for Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Daffin’s Candy. She enjoyed traveling, working, church activities, and most of all, spending time with her husband and all her family.
Fond memories of Sylvia live on with her two children, Jeff (Denise) Domhoff of North Bloomfield and Jill (Jim) Schultz of Cortland; two grandchildren, Heidi (Brett) Monroe and Jeffrey Domhoff; two sisters, Caryl Schmersal of Beaver, Pa. and Linda (Keith) Marshall of Gladehill, Virginia; and a brother, Charles (Elizabeth) Rader of New Brighton, Pa.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her beloved husband of nearly sixty years, Charles R. Domhoff, whom she married August 16, 1958 and who died September 26, 2017.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at North-Mar Church, 3855 East Market Street, Warren, Ohio 44484, with Rev. Myron Daum officiating. Friends may call 6:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 12 at the church.
