Ruth Eleanor Bramer, 97, of Howland Township and formerly of Painesville, entered peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 1:51 a.m. in her home under the comforting care of hospice.
Ruth was born on October 25, 1921 in Wheeling, West Virginia the daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Engler Harmon.
She worked for 30 years with Gray’s Drug Store in Painesville as a clerk.
Ruth was married for 63 years to Col. William Bramer on March 3, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006.
Fond memories of Ruth will be forever cherished by her son David (Mary Ann) Bramer of Putnum Valley, NY; her daughter Deborah “Debbie” (Ronald) Busch with whom she made her home in Howland; a sister-in-law Mary Ellen Harmon of Zelienople, PA; two grandchildren Roni Michelle (Michael) Nicholson and Brian (Kelly) Busch; and five great grandchildren Hannah, Tori, Anthony, Ella and William.
Besides her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers Dr. Roy C. Harmon and Jack Harmon.
In keeping with Ruth’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service and a caring cremation will take place with entombment in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
