Marjorie Frances (Means) DeMalio

Marjorie F. DeMalio, 83, of Howland, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:53 a.m. in the emergency room of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren after becoming ill at home.

Marge was born October 23, 1935 in Mineral Ridge the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Valerie Jacobs Means and was lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles.

Marge was a homemaker and in most recent years worked for Community Bus Service in Warren transporting those in need to doctors appointments and other destinations around the area.  She enjoyed fishing, walking and loved the outdoors.  She had a love for traveling-especially to the beach and vacationing in Florida.  She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 61 years Peter R. DeMalio whom she married on July 13, 1957; five children Christine (Edward) Biello Vienna; Robert F. DeMalio of Jewett, Ohio; Kelly (Chick) Leal of Jupiter, Florida; David J. (Lori) DeMalio Wierton, WV and Valerie Stack of Franklin, TN; a sister Martha Young of St. Cloud, Florida; nine grandchildren Chandelle, Anthony, Dawn, David Jr., Sarah, Lindsay, Savannah, Charles Jr., Aiden  and five great grandchildren Blake, Bianca, Braydenlee, Bryson and Colton.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:20 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen Catholic Church with Fr. James Korda officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery in Niles.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Marjorie’s name be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church 129 W. Park Ave, Niles, Ohio 4446
