Margaret "Marge" L. Price

Margaret L. Price of Youngstown, Ohio entered peacefully into heavenly rest on April 22, 2019, at the Continuing Health Care Center in Boardman, Ohio following a brief illness, at the age of 90. Marge was born the daughter of Joseph and Annette (Carone) Caputo on June 6, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio and was a life-long area resident.

Marge was a graduate of The Rayen High School class of 1946 and attended Youngstown College.  In July of 1951, Marge and Jack Price were united into marriage and shared 42 years together until his passing in July of 1993.

She worked in the sales department at Hynes Industries for 29 years, before retiring in 1994.  Marge was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the St. Faith’s Altar Guild, Boar’s Head Ladies group, and had received the Community Service Award. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching the Cleveland Browns, Golf, the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, along with spending quality time with her loving family.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Sam) Barillaire of Poland, Ohio, and Mary Jo Kovachik of Boardman, Ohio; one brother, Eugene (Billie) Caputo of Girard, Ohio; four grandchildren: Lauren (Chad) Anderson, Matthew Barillaire, Michael Kovachik, and Allie (Chris) Anzevino; three great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Jack, she was preceded in death by her son, John E. Price; son-in-law, Bill Kovachik; sister, Anita (Herb) Garner; brothers, Lawrence (Edith) & John (Barb) Caputo; and great-grandson, Axl Anderson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 11:00 am, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Officiating will be The Reverend Kip Colegrove.  Private burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
