Lawrence "Rippy" E. Peterson, 64, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 5, 2019 at University Hospitals – Andover. He was born August 18, 1954 in Warren, the son of Herman and Catherine (Cayson) Peterson, and had lived in the area all his life.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Lawrence proudly served his county in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had been self-employed as a handyman and carpenter, and enjoyed watching TV, playing pool, and all sports.

Fond memories of Lawrence live on with his daughter, Aretha Hughley of Snellville, Ga.; one grandson; one sister, Stephanie Ashanta of Fairfield, Calif.; and three brothers: Richard (Katherine) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Terrence (Deirdre) of Warren, and Sherman Peterson of Bronx, N.Y.

His parents precede him in death.

Services will be conducted at a later date. Cremation is taking place.
