Larry Benjamin Joseph “Ben” Hines, 13, of Johnston Township, went to be with his daddy.  He passed on November 21, 2017 at 5:54 am at Akron Children’s Hospital from injuries sustained from a traffic accident.

He was born February 28, 2004, the son of Larry G. Hines, Jr. and Teena M. Culver-Lovett.

He was an 8th grade student at Maplewood High School.  Ben loved life and helping people.  He was an example of how people should be.  We are all lucky and grateful to have him in our lives.

Ben was loved by everyone who ever knew him and has changed us all forever.  He would want us to live a good life being helpful and kind. 

He is a hero who will live on in a different way now.  He will help many others to live with the generous donation of his organs, eyes, and tissue.

Ben will be so deeply missed by his mother, Teena M. Culver-Lovett; his grandmothers, Margaret Culver and Connie (Richard) Marshall; his brothers: Howard Justin Lovett, Jeremy A. Lovett, and Ryan (Cheryl) Stout; niece Hayley Stout; and nephew Kyle Stout.  He is also survived by grandfather Larry G. Hines, Sr., nephew Caden Fox, and many aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by uncle Robert S. Culver, Jr.; grandfather Robert S. Culver, Sr.; buddy, Matt Starkey; and his father Larry G. Hines, Jr. just eight months ago.

Cremation is taking place.  Services will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Johnston Federated United Methodist Church.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
