Kenneth Ray Obituary

Kenneth D. Ray, 55, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.  He was born July 22, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Richard and Charmaine (Fellesz) Ray, and had lived in Ohio since 1974.

A graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Ken worked for Anderson DuBose Co. in Lordstown.  An avid sports fan, he enjoyed golf, swimming, volleyball, basketball, fishing, and camping just about anywhere he could camp.  Most of all, his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Fond memories of Ken live on with his beloved wife, Monica L. (Pettigrew) Ray, whom he married October 18, 1980; three children: Brandon (Jessica) of Niles, Annastacia of Niles, and Brent Ray of Warren; two grandchildren, Caden and Addilyn Ray; three sisters: Lori (Bob) Liakaris of Howland, Heidi (Victor) Suraci of Boardman, and Charnelle Ray of Niles; a brother, Leonard (Teri) Ray of Hubbard; his mother-in-law, Dolores Pettigrew of Warren; his brother-in-law, Ted (Wendy) Pettigrew of Warren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a lifetime of other good friends and family.

His parents precede him in death.

Cremation is taking place.  Ken's life will be celebrated with a service at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 56 N. Chestnut St., Niles, the same church where he and Monica were married.  Friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday at the church.
