Kenneth H. Gibson, 87, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Avenue in Aurora. He was born February 28, 1931 in Thornton, W. Va., the son of Curtis and Ada (Funk) Gibson, and had lived in Ravenna most of his life.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ken had worked for Polson Rubber. He had been a volunteer for the Hatti Larlham Foundation. He was a former member of the Windham Congregational United Church of Christ and attended the Windham Bible Church.
He is sadly missed by his four children: Gary (Stephanie) Gibson of Eldorado, Ohio, Debra Moore and Kathy Gibson, both of Ravenna, and Jen (Jeff) Cofer of Streetsboro; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Marion Gibson; two sisters, Leota Gibson and Hester Goodwin; and two brothers, Arnold and Roy Gibson.
Ken and Marion will be laid to rest together, with full military honors, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio, at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 18, 2018. All are welcome to attend.
