Kayla E. Vallas, 39, of Columbiana, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born September 7, 1978 in Youngstown, the daughter of Donald David and Janet (Mitchell) Everly, and had lived in the area all her life.
A remarkable and gifted woman, Kayla completed high school at the age of 16. She was the office manager at her family’s business, Paul’s Auto Collision, Inc. in Poland and Boardman, and was also a certified gemologist. An active Jehovah’s Witness, Kayla had a true love for her God, her faith, and her fellow worshipers. She was known as “the fun aunt” who enjoyed her nieces and nephews, and loved cake decorating.
Fond memories of Kayla live on with her beloved husband, Joel Vallas, whom she married April 19, 1998; her parents of Columbiana; a sister, Tammy (Brennen) Bolton of Columbiana; three brothers, Timothy (Darlene) of Canton, Mark (Emma) of Columbiana, and Jonathan (Joanne) Everly of Salem; two nieces; seven nephews; and her three very loving and furry children at home.
Per her request, cremation is taking place. Services are pending and will be conducted privately at the Kingdom Hall in East Palestine.
