Kathryn “Katie” Hites, 79, of Bristolville, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born June 27, 1939 in Lower Salem, Ohio, the daughter of William and Freda (Boney) Oliver.
Katie retired as a line worker from Packard Electric after more than thirty years of employment. She was a member of the VFW Post 7200 Auxiliary, and enjoyed playing Bingo.
Precious memories of Katie live on with her loving husband, Eugene F. Hites, whom she married May 17, 1958; two sons, Frank E. Hites (Ronda) of Andover and William L. Hites of Bristol; a daughter, Ruth Ann Goddard (Thomas) of Vine Grove, Ky., six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Smith and Jacqueline Reid; and three brothers: John, James, and Ronald Oliver.
Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Gordon Hites; two sisters, Mary Humphress and Ethel Cummins; and four brothers: Charles, Norman, George, and Bill Oliver.
Services are 1:00 p m Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Church of the Brethren, 6410 Thompson-Clark Road, Bristolville, with Pastor Fred Keener officiating.
