Kathleen McAleer Obituary

Kathleen M. McAleer, 89, of Liberty Township, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 15, 2019 at home. She was born March 3, 1930 in Lincoln, England, the daughter of Edith (Harding) Sharpe, and moved to the U.S. in the early 1950s.

Kathleen had been a member of St. James Catholic Church and retired from General Electric. She enjoyed working, dancing, gardening, travel, church, and most of all, time with her family.

Precious memories of Kathleen live on with her five children: Ian McAleer (Sue) of Fowler, Adrian McAleer (Mary) of Florida, Hugh McAleer (Cathy) of Warren, Yvonne Ford (James) of Fowler, and Theresa Luke (Thomas) of Liberty Township; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Sharpe (Monica) of England.

Preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers: William, Raymond, and Eddie Sharpe; and her deceased brothers’ wives.

Services are private. Cremation is taking place. Her urn will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna at a later date.
