Karen A. Day, 63, of Warren, passed away at 12:32 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 in intensive care unit at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren.
Karen was born on May 9, 1955 the daughter of the late Kenneth and Patricia Pritchard Pykare and was a lifelong area resident.
A 1973 graduate of Champion High School, Karen was a homemaker. She loved tending to her plants and flowers, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the lake. Most of all, Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her two granddaughters Aubrey and Brenna who were the apple of her eye.
Karen married her high school sweetheart James Day on June 21, 1974 and they shared 44 wonderful years together, who survives. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Ellen Susko Day of Warren; daughter Jamie (Joseph) Atha of Fishers, Indiana; two granddaughters Aubrey Ashlynn and Brenna Karen Atha; two brothers Timothy (Regina) Pykare of Cleveland Heights and Scott Pykare and two sisters Jill (Larry) Engle of Cortland and Pamela Pykare of Commerce, Georgia.
Besides her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her father-in-law William Day.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service celebrating Karen’s life will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
A caring cremation has taken place under the guidance of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home
