Johanna J. Blackwell, 56, of Warren, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 of natural causes at St. Joseph’s Health Center.  She was born July 25, 1961 in Greenville, Pa., the daughter of Marion and Mae (Boyd) Blackwell.

A graduate of the Orwell schools, Johanna had worked at the Great Lakes Cheese Factory.  She attended Church of the Living God and enjoyed crafts, gardening, fishing, singing, cooking, and spending time with family.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Butler; two sons: DeShawn Pruitt and Ronald Butler, both of Warren; three daughters: Nikeisha and Desire Pruitt and Lula Blackwell, all of Warren; twenty-seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Blackwell of Warren; and three sisters: Katharine Ware of Lansing, Mich., and Lillian Carr and Delores Williams, both of Warren.  Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Quante’ Pruitt; four grandchildren; and three brothers: Eddie, William, and James Blackwell.

Services are 11:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Alpha & Omega Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Rev. Eleanor Edge officiating.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday at the church.
