Joanne E. Chichak, 81, of Columbiana, entered into her Heavenly home, April 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She was born October 19, 1937 in Youngstown, the daughter of George and Eleanor (Larson) Chichak, and had lived in the area all her life.
A graduate of Chaney High School, Joanne worked for Mahoning Bank as an elevator operator. Later, she worked and volunteered at the Way Station in Columbiana. An avid lover of local history, she volunteered as a tour guide at the Arms Museum and was active in the Mahoning County Historical Society. Joanne was a long time member of The Western Reserve United Methodist Church, serving in the church choir for many years. Joanne thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at local animal shelters. She loved her family. She would remember every detail of family meals, important dates and fond memories. It was a joyfor her to share memories with the family and recount the blessings of years passed.
She is missed by her brother George Chichak of Poland; her niece Amy Chichak of Boardman, her nephew, Dr. Michael (Kelly) Chichak of Canfield and by other cherished family members and friends.
