Javaris Russell Obituary

Javaris D. Russell, 33, of Warren, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, the victim of a violent and senseless crime. He was born December 8, 1985 in Warren, the son of Kevin Mathis and Keysa (Russell) Haynes, and had lived in the area all his life.

Javaris attended Warren G. Harding High School and enjoyed music and basketball.

Fond memories of Javaris live on with his father, Kevin Mathis of Warren; his mother, Keysa Haynes of Cortland; his son, Israel Russell of Warren; his grandmothers, Mary Mathis of Warren and Alberta “Bunch” Russell of Warren; a sister, Shanntel Russell of Euclid; and three brothers: D’Marko Russell of Pennsylvania, Marquise Jordan of Warren, and Ke-Juan Johnson (Shayna) of Warren.

Services are 3:00 pm Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Triedstone Baptist Church, 143 Griswold St. N.E., Warren, with Rev. Samson Murry, Jr. officiating. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday at the church.
