James M. Harman

 James M. Harman Sr., 91 of Cortland died Saturday evening July 13, 2019 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. He was born March 12, 1928 in Leechburg, PA., a son of George and Velma (Fox) Harman.

He had worked in the maintenance department for General Refractories in Champion for over 30 years and was a member of North-Mar Church in Warren. He was an Air Force veteran and had enjoyed golfing and traveling.

Besides his wife, the former Margaret McPhilliamy, whom he married December 6, 1948, he leaves two sons, James M. Harman Jr. of Champion and Timothy Harman of Gainesville, Virginia; two daughters, Susan (Rick) Roncevich of Freedom, PA. and Nancy (Paul) Harlow of Northport, Maine; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Harman, and two brothers, Earl and William Harman.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday July 17, 2019 at North-Mar Church in Warren. Friends may call two hours, from 9-11:00 AM prior to the services at the chuch.
