George T. Urick, 80, of Hubbard, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born February 8, 1939 in Youngstown, the son of Pete and Melva (Watkins) Urick, and except for a few years in Michigan, lived in the area all his life.
A graduate of Hubbard High School, George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from GM-Lordstown after thirty years as an electrician. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Greenville Rod & Gun Club and the Lake Erie Yacht Club. An active outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and skeet shooting.
Fond memories of George live on with his five children: Greg Urick (Denise) of Fowler, Barb Charos (John) of Phoenix, Ariz., Tom Twitchell of Ohio, Pete Urick (Deborah) of Southington, and Mike Urick of Chesterfield, Mich.; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors who thought the world of him.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Patricia (Culver) Urick.
Per his request, services are private. Cremation is taking place.
