Ernest M. Riffle, 88, of Warren, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Warren, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 26, 1931 in Lewis County, West Virginia, to Calvin and Nellie Jane (Blake) Riffle.
He moved his family to Warren in 1967. He retired from Greenville Metal Lithograph Printing, but continued to work for Villager Mobile Home Park until he was 80 years old. He was a jack of all trades, a mechanic, plumber, electrician, and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, fixing and building things. He loved country music.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea.
“Ernie” is survived by his wife, Ruby J. (Marsh) Riffle, whom he married March 17, 1956; a son, William of Warren; a daughter, Debra (James) Allen of Leavittsburg; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters: Effie Simmers of Weston, W. Va., Sylvia (Kenneth) Godfrey of Jane Lew, W. Va., Mary (William) Donaldson of Weston, and Elizabeth (James) Myers of Lumberport, W. Va.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
His request for cremation has been honored.
