Dear family. Please accept my condolences. Please know that God is "near to the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit." (Psalms 34:18-19) Soon Jehovah God, the God of all comfort will provide you permanent comfort when "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a ...resurrection of life!"(John 5:28-29) You can see your loved one again! Please watch the comforting 1 min video "Is There Hope for the Dead?" on JW.ORG. May God wipe away your tears.

Mr. Oppenheimer was one of the kindest principals ever.
His kindness will always be remembered. I graduated in 1979 but my memories of him and the very special way he handled disciplining students without ever being mean was so memorable. He would give you a choice and was fair. It was a great example of how a parent should think of alternative means of discipline.
Thank You for your kindness and for being such an amazing role model Mr. O.
I will always remember you.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Bill’s entire family. Although I have had the genuine pleasure to learn more about Bill in recent years as a Howland Schools employee, I have known him for over 45 years through his his daughter Laura, who attended and graduated with me from Howland in 1986. I have fond memories of Laura and of her father and mother in grade school and know that this would be an incredibly difficult time for the entire family because of all Bill has been to his family, the kids he was educating, and his colleagues - as an educator, administrator, and in his educational supporting role driving a bus for our Howland kids. All who knew Bill were witness to his genuine concern for others, his integrity in every decision, and his recognition of the importance to assist children in finding their way with a concerned, but compassionate demeanor. My conversations with Bill were exciting and interesting because of his insight, intellect, and heart for the endeavors he was undertaking at the time. He will be sadly missed, but made better being cognizant of the positive impact he had on the lives of his family and thousands of youngsters and co-workers. Prayers are with his entire family.

My sincere condolences to the Oppenheimer family. I attended Lakeview until 1977 and found Mr. Oppenheimer to be a very honest sincere man that all the students really liked. I went to a garage sale he was having a few years back and it was great talking to him about the old school days. God Bless you and your family. Great Man.

My condolences and prayers to Mr. Oppenheimer’s family. As a 1985 LHS graduate, I have many memories of him. He always had a kind word and he was fair when handing out punishment (I do remember being called to the cafeteria a time or two). He will be remembered and missed by many.

I was a a LHS student 87-91 .Mr. Oppenheimer was always someone who would take the time to chat with you and see how you were, then rush you on to class. My sophomore year I had surgery and my Mom was a little nervous I was coming back too soon. He personally made sure I was ok throughout the day and updated my Mom . You would always know he was heading back to his office because you could hear his keys jingling . I ended up skipping school in my senior year and got caught . When he called me into his office I immediately confessed and burst into tears. I was given a Saturday In School Suspension then a kind and funny pep talk. I was more upset about disappointing him than having to spend my Saturday in the study hall classroom.

He was quick with a smile and Witt . He was kind and fair. Even when you had done wrong. He let us have fun while enforcing the rules. But most of all he had a way about him that let us know that where he was the boss, he was there if we needed him to help. I have such fond memories even after all these years.
My condolences to his family, friends, coworkers and all who loved him. Lifting you all up in prayer.
