Eileen M. Spencer

CHAMPION - Eileen Mary Spencer, age 91, of Champion, Ohio, passed away at her home Monday, August 27, 2018.  She was born December 6, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, the oldest of seven children to James and Ellen Powers.

Eileen, formerly of Braceville, Ohio and Edgewater, Fla., worked for the Salvation Army as a volunteer for over twenty years, and loved her bowling and gardening.

Loving memories of Eileen will be carried on by one son, William (Bernice) Spencer, with whom she made her home; two daughters, Eileen (William) Cunningham of Knoxville, Tenn. and Charlene (Dale) Robinson of Edgewater, Fla.; three sisters: Betty Crouser and Audrey Hiles of Edgewater, Fla., and Patricia Schaffers of Windham; two brothers, James and Dennis Powers of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her loving husband of forty-four years, Charles E. Spencer; and one sister, Joan Corvin of Cleveland.

Per Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place through Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, Ohio. Services will be held at a later date through Lohman Funeral Home in Edgewater, Fla.  Material contributions may be made in Eileen’s name to MVI Hospice Care of Youngstown, Ohio.
