David L. Sandford

David L. Sandford, 72, of Howland, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.  He was born July 20, 1947 in Warren, the son of William and Molly (Hake) Sandford, and had lived in the area all his life.

A graduate of Howland High School, David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He retired from Delphi Packard after thirty years of employment, and enjoyed concerts.

He is sadly missed by his wife, Mary Jane (Elder) Sandford, whom he married July 27, 2014; two sons, Brian D. Sandford (Terese) of Cortland and Stephen W. Sandford (Tara) of North Carolina; a daughter, Wendy Kestely (Ken) of Athens, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Kirstin Sandford, Casey Sandford, and Alexander Sandford.

Preceding him in death are his parents; a brother, Jerry Sandford; a sister, Roberta “Snookie” Wilkes; and a niece, Molly Wilkes.

Services are 6:00 pm Monday, October 28, 2019 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.  Friends may call 5:00 to 6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
