David Leskovac Obituary

David Leskovac, 82, of McDonald, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Vibra Hospital in Boardman.  He was born March 17, 1936 in Youngstown, the son of Michael and Mildred (Vuletich) Leskovac, and had lived in the area all his life.

At age 16, Dave was an Eagle Scout in the Order of the Arrow. A graduate of McDonald High School, Dave served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958.  He worked as a millwright for RMI Titanium, retiring in 1999 after 35 years of employment.  A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge, he was a fifty-year member of the Vienna Fish and Game Club, where he was a past trustee and current chairman of the Lake Committee.  Dave was a certified NRA pistol instructor and conducted CCW classes.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trap shooting, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

Fond memories of Dave live on with his loving wife, Betty Ann (Toth) Leskovac, whom he married July 13, 1957; a daughter, Lisa (Stephen) Gloria of Mount Arlington, N.J.; three grandchildren: Daniel, James, and Jenna; and a brother, Daniel (Kathy) Leskovac of McDonald.

Preceding him in death are his parents and two brothers, William and Thomas Leskovac.

According to his wishes, cremation is taking place.  Services are 11:00 am Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge.  Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday, May 11 at the church.  Burial of his urn will be 10:00 am Monday, May 14 at Kerr Cemetery.
