Charles D. Stevenson, Sr., 81, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born June 23, 1937 in Warren, the son of Frank and Mae (Whiting) Stevenson, and had lived in both Ohio and California.
A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Mr. Stevenson served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in quality control for Lockheed Martin Corp. Prior to that, he worked in logistics for Aerospace Guidance and Metrology Center in Newark, Ohio. He had been active with the Masons and the Junior Chamber of Commerce while living in Newark, and also had coached Little League football through the YMCA.
Fond memories of Mr. Stevenson live on with his five sons: Michael J. of Lakewood, Washington, Rodney K. of Castro Valley, Calif., Charles D., Jr. of Murrieta, Calif., Timothy B. (Andrea) of Santa Clara, Calif., and Gregory F.A. Stevenson of Kent, Washington; three grandchildren: Sylvia, Holle, and Scott Stevenson; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Preceding him in death are his parents; four sisters; Dorothy Brogdon, Frances Harris, Florence Simmons, and Willa Scott; and three brothers: Frank Jr., Robert Louis, and John T. Stevenson.
Cremation is taking place. His urn will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery, Warren, Ohio in the spring.
