Charles E. Pettit, Sr., 71, of Kinsman, passed away peacefully Monday, July 23, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 28, 1946 in Warren, the son of Charles F. and Betty C. (Evans) Pettit, and had lived in the area all his life.
A graduate of Lakeview High School, Chuck was a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed racing, motorcycle riding, and most of all, his grandchildren.
Fond memories of Chuck live on with his beloved wife, Susan (Bugansky) Pettit, whom he married July 27, 1975; three children, Theresa R. (Jeff) Penk of New Springfield, Charles E. “C.J.” Pettit, Jr. of Cortland, and Lisa Nuti of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Michael, Bella, and Gauge; three sisters: Dottie (Wayne) Westbay of Conneaut, Diane (Howard) Grenno of Warren, and Jody Thigpen of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
His parents precede him in death.
Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to someone you know who needs help.
