Betty Rufener Obituary

Betty L. Rufener, 97, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 20, 1920 in Bloomington, Ill., the daughter of Richard R. and Idylle F. (Applegate) Reding, and had lived in the Warren area most of her life.

Betty had worked as a music teacher at Strouss’s Music Center and Bonasara Music Store for over 40 years, and played the organ at Golden Gate Restaurant for many years.  She was also the former owner of Satin & Lace Doll Shop in Warren.

Fond memories of Betty live on with her son, Robert A. Rufener of Warren; six grandchildren: Richard, Ronald, Rochelle, Raymond, Richard, and Jeffrey; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband, Raymond G. Rufener; a daughter, Annette L. Hudak; a grandson, George Hudak, Jr.; a granddaughter, Debbie Hudak; and a brother, Richard W. Reding.

Per her request, no services.  Cremation is taking place.
