Arthur A. Anderson, 95, of Warren, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Hospice House in Poland. He was born November 26, 1922 in Warren, the son of Curtis and Ruby (Hines) Anderson, and had lived in the area all his life.
A 1940 graduate of Leavittsburg High School, Mr. Anderson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. A member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, he retired from Ohio Edison after 33 years of employment. He also belonged to Old Erie Lodge #3, F. & A.M., Warren; Scottish Rite, Consistry of Youngstown; Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland; and the Trumbull Shrine Club, Warren.
Fond memories of Mr. Anderson live on with his nieces, Sandra Giuliano of Canfield and Sharon (John) Harrell of Oviedo, Fla.; two great-nieces, Joanna (Norman) Scarazzo of Canfield and Betsy (Jeff) Craig of John’s Creek, Ga.; a great-nephew, David (Ashley) Thirion of Fort Myers, Fla.; and other family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, Bernice Howard Anderson; his second wife, Arlene Pope Anderson; his companion, Mary Ellen McCabe; and a sister, Dorothy Bauman.
Services are 3:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Eugene Koene officiating. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
