Anna Marie Lukco Obituary

Anna Marie Lukco of Warren departed this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 with a peaceful look on her face as she chose to end her struggle with Breast Cancer.   Coca Cola’s stock price fell sharply after hearing the news and executives called an emergency meeting to prepare for the impact of an anticipated decline in sales.  It should be noted that finally seeing the Browns win relieved her mind enough to allow her to move into the next realm.

Anna Marie was born in Warren, Ohio on April 3, 1951 to Edward and Mary Lukco.  As the third of four children, she always felt her Sister and Brothers received more attention than her, but the reality is that she was much kinder and less trouble than the others, subsequently requiring less direction.  She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1969 and attended Kent State University.

In her earlier years, Anna Marie enjoyed travel and adventure – spending a summer working at a Lodge in California, another period spent at a Dude Ranch near Yellowstone National Park and also living and working in Tampa, Florida.   She was a familiar face to the many loyal customers of Waldenbooks for nearly 40 years – retiring as Manager of the Eastwood Mall Store.

Anna Marie enjoyed gardening and landscape design and was a Master Gardener, certified by the Ohio State University.  She was proud of the beautiful work she did around her home and the gardens on her property were stunning to behold.  A true animal lover and advocate, you risked life and limb if you even spoke poorly about an animal in her presence.  Anna Marie took fashion cues from no one – believing clothing should be worn as long as the threads hold the garment together.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and a great laugh that made everyone around her feel happy and warm.

A true and loyal Sister and friend to all, Anna Marie will be sorely missed by her five cats; Chloe, Mickey, Boogie, Frankie and Willie and by her Brothers, Edward (Cindy) Lukco and Michael (Michelle) Lukco.  She is also survived by her niece and nephews; Janine Hiryok, Steven Lukco, Daniel Hiryok and Andy Lukco.  Anna Marie will be happily welcomed to her next chapter by her parents and Sister Kathy Hiryok, who preceded her in death.

Arrangements are under the direction of Staton-Borowski Funeral Home where family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 6th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
