Alpha Humenik, 98, of Warren, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born November 27, 1919 in Butler, Pa., the daughter of Clifford and Cloy (Stephens) Montgomery, and had lived most of her life in Ohio.
A homemaker, Alpha attended Tod Avenue United Methodist Church for many years, and currently attended Believers Church. She enjoyed baking and her family.
Fond memories of Alpha live on with her son, Jerry (Diane) Humenik of Parkman; two daughters, Betty Lou (Edward) Miner of Circleville and Nancy (Joel) Bator of Braceville; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Montgomery of Warren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband, George Humenik, whom she married April 16, 1938 and who passed away August 12, 1982; a son, Richard Humenik; two sisters, Vivian Park and Blanche Moyer; and three brothers: Warren, Edward, and Phil Montgomery.
Services are 11:00 am Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
