Archie R. Kester

Archie R. Kester, 75, of Ravenna, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at The Woodlands of Ravenna.  He was born January 28, 1944 in Weirton, W. Va., the son of Herbert and Louella (Morgan) Kester, and had lived most of his life in Ohio.

Archie served in the U.S. Navy and worked in several auto body shops.  He was also a member of the American Legion.

Fond memories of Archie live on with his beloved wife, Catherine (Aliff) Kester, whom he married June 30, 1990; seven children: Jodi Lawson (Mike) of Beaver, Ohio, Bryant Kester of Windham, Ricky Kester of Warren, Cassie Kester of Warren, Lisa Waldron (Jason) of Newton Falls, Laurel Kester of Windham, and Barbara Kester of Ravenna; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four sisters: Susie Thompson (Ron) of Windham, Sandy Rhorman of Fowler, Betty Kester of Windham, and Linda Gaff of Champion; a brother, Kenny Kester (Cindy) of Vienna; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding him in death are his parents; two sons, Paul and Clifford Kester; two daughters, Carol Ann Kester and Michelle Kester; three sisters: Kathy Nelson, Jean Klienert, and Penny Kester; and three brothers, Herb, Chuck, and Jimmy Kester.

Services are private.  Per his wishes, cremation is taking place.
