Dorothy L. Niemi

Dorothy Louise Niemi, age 95 of Warren, Ohio, died on April 2, 2024.
She was born on December 16, 1928 in Warren, the daughter of the late
Michael and Leda Rose (nee Cantor) Schultz.
Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking,
crocheting and flower gardening, however, her greatest joy was spending
time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Karl Niemi, John (Sue) Niemi and Lori
Beth Johnson and her grandson, who was like a son to her, Shawn (Mary)
Niemi; her daughter-in-law, Christie Niemi; her other grandchildren,
Mathieu Niemi, Nicole Niemi and Nicholas Johnson; and her great-
grandchildren, Elianna, Nicholas and John Michael.
Dorothy is also survived by her siblings, Marge Whitehead and Clarence
Schultz.
Other than her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband,
Nelo “Nick” Niemi; her eldest son, Ron Niemi; and several siblings.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:15 AM at
Cortland Christian Church, 153 Grove Street, Cortland, Ohio 44410, where
Pastor Curtis Miller will celebrate Dorothy’s life.
Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday, April 5, 2024 from
9:30 – 10:15 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite
charity in Dorothy’s memory.

Funeral Home, Warren, Ohio.
