Donna Marie Brown

Warren, Ohio

Donna Marie Brown, age 80 of Warren, Ohio, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on April 18, 2024, following a long battle to cancer. 

She was born on October 1, 1943 in New York City, NY, the daughter of Willa (nee Johnson) Stevens of Warren and the late George Brown. 

Donna obtained her Master's Degree from Ohio State University in Education and taught English and Spanish until she retired from Warren City Schools Board of Education.

Donna enjoyed reading, gardening (she had a huge green thumb) and traveling. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

In addition to her mother, survivors include her children:  Donna “Mikki” McElhannon-Bryant, Rachelle “Shelli” McElhannon, Wendi Raimey, and bonus child Nicole (Michael) Porterfield; along with her eight grandchildren: Jaza, Amauni, Kali, Kyla, Samuel, Jayven, Laniya, Ziyah; her five bonus grandchildren: Brandon, Danita, Terrany, Ki-Aris, Ki-Sean; and a host of bonus great-grandchildren.

Other than her father, Donna was preceded in death by the father that raised her, Paul Stevens, bonus daughter Lorri Raimey and two brothers, George “Sonny” Brown and Clark Stevens.

Memorial services will take place at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483 on Saturday April 27th, 2024. Calling hours 10-11am, service at 11am.
