Farmdale – Ross T. Whetson passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home. Ross was born December 20, 1948 in Warren a son of the late Harold and Martha (Thomas) Whetson. A Veteran of the United States Army, Ross was retired as the owner of Sunny Slope Farm and Greenhouse. He was a member of Warren Baptist Temple and loved telling others about Jesus. He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Cynthia E. Whetson of Farmdale, Christina D. Whetson of Farmdale; and his sons: Randall T. Whetson of Farmdale and Daniel R. Whetson of Farmdale. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Dianne Y. Sweetman, whom he married December 4, 1982 and passed away on February 6, 2016; one sister: Donna and one brother: Denny. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Warren Baptist Temple, 2093 Ewalt Ave NE, Warren, Ohio with Reverend James Dittmar officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
