Laverne J. Pfouts, 95, of Niles, died Wedensday, October 4, 2017 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles.  She was born November 21, 1921 in Braham, Minn., the daughter of Elmer Johnson and Ellen (Halstrom) Johnson.

A member of the VFW, Laverne retired from Packard Electric and enjoyed bowling and bingo.

Surviving are her son, Russell (Darlene) Pfouts of Cambridge, Minn.; a brother, Roger (Lorna) Johnson of Cambridge, Minn.; a sister, Della Pearson of Isanti, Minn.; three grandchildren: Chris Walker of Warren, Virgil Pfouts and Sonja; and three great-grandchildren.  Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Seth Pfouts; her daughter, Marlys Peters; a granddaughter, Nancy Talley; and eight brothers and sisters.

Private services will be held.
