Warren – Joseph Averett passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Joseph was born July 2, 1936 in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama a son of the late Richard and Lulu Brown Averett. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Joseph retired from General Motors in Lordstown. Joseph enjoyed fishing. Joseph will be sadly missed by his wife the former Sandra York, whom he married May 15, 1999; step daughters: Felicia Glover of Warren and Aileena (Eric) Bender of Lordstown; step sons: Leon (Bobbie) Glover of Minnesota and Howard Glover of Youngstown; sisters in law: Helen Averett of Virginia, Emma Averett of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Edna Moore of Youngstown; niece Christine Tyson of California; nephew Clarence Averett of Virginia; and a host of grandchildren. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Joseph’s daughter’s home, 2694 Elizabeth Dr., Lordstown, Ohio. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Rd. NE., Warren, Ohio with Pastor Gerald Morgan officiating.
