Warren – Ernest L. “Mickey” Evans passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Ernest was born October 30, 1939 in Yazoo City, Mississippi a son of the late Sylvester and Minnie Walker Evans.

A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Ernest retired from General Motors in 1996.

He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

His will be sadly missed by his daughter Sonja (Dwayne) Oates of Columbus; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; one brother; and one great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at niece’s home, 3134 Randolph St. NW. Warren. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. SE, Warren, Ohio with Reverend Dr. Avan Odom officiating. 

Friends may call one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
