Donald J. (Donnie) Doty, 54, passed into glory Friday April 7, 2017. He was born December 29, 1962 in Manhasset, New York to Paul A. and Yvonne Gauthier Doty. Donnie was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather; cousin, stepson and friend who will always cherished and missed.

 

He was raised in Red Bank, New Jersey where he attended Red Bank Regional High School and Brookdale Community College. He joined the United States Army and served his country proudly. He was trained in the Signal Corps and excelled in marksmanship.

 

After the Army, Donnie started his construction career as a framer and worked hard to become a traveling construction superintendent. His projects included multi-million dollar builds and he was a respected leader, a consummate organizer and a perfectionist on the job.

 

Donnie’s love was riding motorcycles, and he did. All over the country. He excelled in Skiing, pool, darts, and loved to play golf. He did not know a stranger, and made friends wherever he went. His laughter was quick and his smile engaging.

 

Donnie founded the “Cheyenne Foundation 4 Kids” on 2007 after the tragic loss of his daughter Cheyenne. He had a passion for children and created a memorial motorcycle that he rode all over the country and promoted Child’s Safety Awareness.

 

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cheyenne. Survivng are his wife, Corina Razum-Doty; stepson, Eric Razum; stepdaughter, Haley (Don) Razum-Allgood; brother, Paul Doty; stepfather, Frank Moran, and stepchildren, Silas, Chase and ViVi.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Warren with Pastor David Luther officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 at the church.
