Cassie M. Collins 55, of Niles, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Vista Care in Boardman, after a lengthy illness.  She was born September 25, 1961 in Warren, the daughter of Junior Husk and Mary George, and was a lifetime resident of the area.

A 1979 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Cassie had belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles.  Her career was in customer service, having worked for the Tribune Chronicle before her illness.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dining out, and being with her dog, Maxine.

Cassie was a very spiritual, loving individual who was very kind and always helping others.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie M. Collins of Seattle, Wash., two brothers: Fred of Youngstown and Bill Brinsky of Maryland; and her longtime friend, Marty Evans.  Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Junior Brinksy; and three sisters: Mary Booker, Diana Rawls, and Mickey Brinsky.

Services are 3:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with reception to follow. Friends may call 2:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
