Warren – Alberta Brown passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2016 at her home. Alberta was born June 24, 1928 in Blairsville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Crawford and Charlie Mae (Harris) Williams, Sr. A homemaker, Alberta was a member of Second Baptist Church in Warren. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, and cooking. Most of all Alberta adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Alberta will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years Charles E. Brown; her daughters: Pamela Brown of Lakeridge, Virginia, Robin Shavers of Cleveland, and Cynthia (Jodfrey) Stringer of Warren; her son: Daryl Brown of Warren; one sister Bernice Stevens of Blairsville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: LaShonda Coleman, Amber Richardson, Frema Osei-Boakye, Rahman Shavers, Kidron Shavers, Mariah Brown, Angela Brown, Jody Stringer, Corey Stringer, Tierra Perry and a host of great grandchildren. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Ronald C. Brown; four sisters: Alvie Massey, Elizabeth Willis, Louise Hall and Gladys Quinn; three brothers: Charlie Williams, Ernest Williams, Sr., and Crawford Williams, Jr.; and granddaughters: Crystal Brown and Maleka Shavers. The family will receive friends at Alberta’s home, 1220 Salt Springs Rd. in Lordstown. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave. SW Warren with Pastor Todd Johnson officiating.
